Concept

How does it work?
It has been specifically designed to:
- Ensure good stability in the mouth while promoting nasal breathing.
- Preserve mucous membranes and avoid irritation of gums, cheeks, and lips thanks to the precise reduction in the height of the vestibular bands and the patented design of its tongue ramp.
- Allow mandibular wedging for good stability in the mouth while accommodating natural muscle pressures.
- Promote correct tongue positioning through a specific lingual ramp, encouraging proper tongue placement and contributing to maintaining functional nasal breathing.

Designer
Dr Philippe Amat, orthodontist and MyoSimple designer
Dr. Philippe Amat is an orthodontist passionate about functional orthodontics, with over 30 years of experience in treating oro-facial dysfunctions in children, adolescents, and adults.
Trained by leading figures in functional orthodontics, he has dedicated part of his career to integrating myofunctional approaches into orthodontic treatments. MyoSimple is the result of this commitment to offering a comprehensive and sustainable approach to orthodontics. Function rehabilitation is placed at the heart of orthodontic care. MYOsimple® is designed to promote balanced oro-facial functions, which can help support the stability of orthodontic results.
The MyoSimple® mouthguard was designed to combine ease of use, comfort, and safety, based on over twenty years of experimentation and clinical exchanges. It is the culmination of more than twenty years of experimentation, analysis of scientific literature, and exchanges with numerous orthodontists, ENTs, pediatric dentists, physiotherapists, and speech therapists. MyoSimple has been patented and recently presented, offering a major evolution compared to existing prefabricated rehabilitation mouthguards.
Treatment
How to integrate MyoSimple into your protocol?
Indications
In addition to the 3 main indications described, MyoSimple can be prescribed to help manage many other clinical situations, including:
- Maxillary endoalveolitis
- Incisor gap
- Supraclusie incisive
MyoSimple can also be prescribed by other healthcare professionals, ENT specialists, physiotherapists, speech therapists, to help manage various clinical situations:
- Habitual mouth breathing
- Dysfunctional swallowing
- Sleep disorders caused by dysfunction
Wearing Protocol
- Daily wear: 1-2 hours, in a calm setting, sitting position, in 1-2 sessions
- Night wear: all night, noting whether you wake up with the device in your mouth or if it fell out during the night
- Average treatment duration: 3 to 6 months
- Recommended complementary exercises: Nasal breathing, tongue posture, swallowing.
To enhance MyoSimple's passive rehabilitation, it is recommended to combine simple active rehabilitation exercises to optimize:
- • Nasal breathing
- • Tongue posture
- • Swallowing
These exercises, to be performed daily for 5 to 10 minutes, help support rehabilitation and consolidate the oro-facial functions being worked on, under the supervision of a healthcare professional.
These exercises must be performed according to your practitioner's recommendations.
Dual therapy with Froggymouth
MyoSimple® and Froggymouth are two distinct medical devices that can be used complementarily in a myofunctional rehabilitation program, under the supervision of a healthcare professional. The combination can be considered to work simultaneously on nasal breathing, tongue posture, and swallowing, according to the objectives defined by the practitioner.
MyoSimple promotes nasal ventilation, induces swallowing with clenched dental arches, and a high and anterior tongue posture.
Froggymouth works on correcting atypical swallowing and tongue posture, by passively re-educating the patient without requiring awareness of dysfunctions
The combination of MyoSimple and Froggymouth helps improve the effectiveness of oro-facial myofunctional rehabilitation and achieve functional balance automation more quickly.

MYOsimple® – Class I Medical Device – CE Marking. Froggymouth® – Class I Medical Device – CE Marking. Their joint use is subject to the assessment of the healthcare professional and does not replace orthodontic or medical treatment.
